DOMESTIC ABUSE PREVENTIONS WORKERS

Harbour has delivered needs-led services for 50 years for individuals and families affected by domestic abuse. The preventions service aims to increase the safety and wellbeing of victims of domestic abuse and their children by providing a range of targeted interventions for those who perpetrate abuse.

Our preventions team is expanding so we are seeking men and women interested in joining the service which works across Tees Valley, Durham, Darlington, Northumberland, Newcastle and North Tyneside. Part time and full-time posts are available.

We welcome applications from enthusiastic, capable individuals with excellent people skills, an ability to motivate individuals towards positive change, an aptitude for communication and an ability to work with initiative. We are very interested to hear from those with experience of working with offenders, in particular perpetrators of domestic abuse and/or those with experience delivering behaviour change interventions.

Harbour’s perpetrator programme is accredited by Respect and holds Silver Investor in People status and the Gold Better Health at Work Award. In 2023 we were proud to win the Investors in People UK Employer of the Year Award for organisations of our size and holding silver accreditation. Our staff are empowered and encouraged to develop themselves to ensure the continuous improvement of our services.
