We at Oaklea Northumberland provide Supported Living Services for people with disabilities and mental health and we are looking for enthusiastic people to join one of our experienced teams in Morpeth.

Support Worker – The Role:

In your role, you will support customers with a wide variety of needs and aspirations and work with our organisational values as we strive to encourage independence.

Come and join a team on a new adventure of supported living with people of differing abilities and complex health needs, who love being active and are looking for new ways to be involved in their community and have fun.

You will be required to work closely with a small team. You must be confident in communicating with people who may who may have challenges communicating with you. 

Working hours will include days, nights and weekends – examples of support sessions are: (8am – 10.00pm/ 8.00am-3.00pm/ 3.00pm – 10.00pm/ 9.30pm – 8.00am)You will receive a set sleep-in payment for your non-support hours. Experience in using technology i.e. Smartphone/ Tablets/ Laptop is desired but not essential.

You do not need to be experienced, but it is essential that you share our values.  You must have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of people with a learning disability. We will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us.
