About the College 

Hartlepool Sixth Form is the top performing Sixth Form college in the North East for student achievement, with 100% pass rate for over 30 courses and 98% of our student progressing to either College or employment.

Here in Hartlepool, we have been delivering highly successful courses for more than 50 years as the only dedicated sixth form college in the area.  Situated on the outskirts of the town centre, we have excellent facilities for both academic and vocational study with excellent sports facilities, fully equipped science labs, and have recently invested in a new digital academy and a health simulation ward.

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Student Support Officer in our Future Ready Hubs.
   
As a Student Support Officer, you'll play a vital role in providing support to students, ensuring that they have access to essential resources and information. You will offer assistance and advice on learning resources, study skills, digital tools and student bursary/financial support funds, ensuring that students maximise the benefits of the facilities, resources and services available.

This position is a college group post working across Sunderland College and Hartlepool Sixth Form. 


   
About you


  

To succeed in this role, you'll need strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build excellent relationships at all levels. Your positive and helpful approach will be crucial in providing welcoming, supportive and professional services to all users. Additionally, your knowledge of equality, diversity, and inclusion will help create an inclusive environment where every student feels valued. You should have a Level 3 qualification, along with experience in providing support and guidance. Your communication skills, both written and verbal, will be essential.
