SEN and Disability Coordinator– 35 Hours

The Foundation is seeking a highly motivated individual to fulfil the exciting role of Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator.

It is the Foundation’s ambition to continue to deliver and develop high quality SEN and Disability provision across Sunderland, South Tyneside and County Durham. Making maximum use of our outstanding facility, the Beacon of Light, as well as growing our delivery in our outreach sites.

Purpose of the Role: The SEN and Disability Coordinator is responsible for the successful running of the SEND provision. The main duties of the postholder are:

·      To manage, plan, coordinate and implement the SEND sport and education provision to achieve all targets across the geographical areas of Sunderland, South Tyneside and County Durham.

·      To manage relationships with stakeholders in the SEND sector to drive business growth. 

·      To ensure compliance for SEND programmes.

·      To deliver practical sports and/or education sessions for SEND children, young people and adults, meeting the specific educational needs and specification disabilities of the participants.
