Safer Communities Officer (Anti-Social Behaviour)
We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to undertake the post of Safer Communities Officer within the Community Safety Team.
About the role
The role specialises in providing a high quality, customer focused service to victims and perpetrators of anti-social behaviour across the Karbon Homes stock.
You will be working with Safer Communities colleagues where the provision involves a pro-active approach to prevent and tackle anti-social behaviour.
You will manage a caseload of anti-social behaviour cases and carry out associated administrative tasks, keeping detailed case notes and ensure investigations are completed in line with all legal and non-legal remedies.
Working in collaboration with team members and legal advisors, you will prepare and support officers with producing documentation, reports, issue and serve notices of intention to seek possession, injunctions, or other legal notices for anti-social behaviour within tight deadlines. You will be expected to attend court on behalf of the organisation as required.
You will have an excellent understanding of the various support agencies available and will make support referrals where necessary for both victims and perpetrators. The role will need someone who can develop strong working relationships with key external partners in a multi-agency forum.
A flexible approach to work is key as the post holder will be required to work across all office locations and Karbon stock as necessary and occasionally work outside normal working hours.
A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purpose is essential.

- Safer Communities Officer – permanent role
- Salary is £35,597 per annum plus a Karbon car payment of £2,260 per annum
- Location: Stanley or Gosforth
- Regular travel will be required across all Karbon stock
- 37 Hours per week with some homeworking available/flexible working
