Requirements:
- DipSW, CQSW, NVQ 3/4/5 in Working with Young People / adult Management or a willingness to work towards this.
- Proven experience at Senior level in a Residential Home for adults/young people
- Able to demonstrate advanced practice skills and experience in managing challenging behaviour.
- Demonstrate good working knowledge of CQC fundamental working standards and regulations.
- Working knowledge of the National Care Standards, Care Act and Regulations.
- Good attention to detail and work to high standards.
- Work using own initiative, taking full ownership.

As a Registered Manager you will:
-Manage a Residential Home and ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies and the Statement of Purpose for the home.
-Assist and supervise in the continual assessment of the needs of the children and young people and to identify and prepare specific development plans to ensure the most appropriate service provision.
-Co-ordinate and monitor staffing levels within the home to ensure that individual needs are met.
-Ensure that the standards within the home are maintained and developed in line with the Care Standards Act 2000 and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2001.
-Maintain a clean and safe environment paying particular attention to Health and Safety legislation and environmental health needs.
-To work proactively with monitoring bodies to ensure that services are developing beyond the set standards.
We are looking for an exceptional Registered Manager to lead and develop the service delivering consistent and outstanding levels of quality. The Registered Manager will develop and implement a vision for the delivery of a high quality, at an exciting new service within Wigan and ensure that standards are maintained within the regulatory framework set by Ofsted.
This new home contains 2 bedrooms supporting young adults and we will channel the talents and value the potential of every child and young person in our care and prepare them for happy and productive lives as young adults.
