Job Description

Requirements:

  • DipSW, CQSW, NVQ 3/4/5 in Working with Young People / adult Management or a willingness to work towards this.
  • Proven experience at Senior level in a Residential Home for adults/young people
  • Able to demonstrate advanced practice skills and experience in managing challenging behaviour.
  • Demonstrate good working knowledge of CQC fundamental working standards and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of the National Care Standards, Care Act and Regulations.
  • Good attention to detail and work to high standards.
  • Work using own initiative, taking full ownership.
  • Ability to develop and encourage professional growth in

As a Registered Manager you will:

-Manage a Residential Home and ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies and the Statement of Purpose for the home.

-Assist and supervise in the continual assessment of the needs of the children and young people and to identify and prepare specific development plans to ensure the most appropriate service provision.

-Co-ordinate and monitor staffing levels within the home to ensure that individual needs are met.

-Ensure that the standards within the home are maintained and developed in line with the Care Standards Act 2000 and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2001.

-Maintain a clean and safe environment paying particular attention to Health and Safety legislation and environmental health needs.

-To work proactively with monitoring bodies to ensure that services are developing beyond the set standards.

-Stafford Hall offers a family like children’s home with a small school that delivers a full curriculum experience that not only reflects the pupils learning needs but also engages interests, sensory needs and regulation strategies.

-Located in Halifax, Stafford Hall houses 12 children and can teach up to 20 young people from the ages of 11 to 19. We are able to support young people with autism and learning difficulties. We have high aspirations for our pupils and strive relentlessly to improve relationships between all those who work with children and young people to ensure they feel valued and safe.
