Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of POLIT researcher based at Wynyard.

As a POLIT researcher you will conduct tactical, strategic and operational/investigative research of information and intelligence to support and inform Cleveland Police’s approach to online child abuse investigations.

You will excel in this role if you are skilled in planning and undertaking research, with an eye for detail and a methodical approach to work. Tasks will include implementing, developing, and maintaining effective and efficient methods of research, presenting information which will be used for briefings and liaising with internal and external sources as and when required.

It is essential that you are adept at evaluating and assessing information to inform decision making, able to work independently demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills, whilst also delivering on targets within specified timeframes.  It would also be advantageous to have experience of working within law enforcement with practical experience of the National Intelligence Model, as well as experience of using Niche, PNC and PND.
