Job Description

Bishop Auckland College are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Motor Vehicle College Tutor to deliver high-quality education and training to students in hybrid and electric vehicle technology.

Our brand-new hybrid and electrical panel equipment will involve teaching both

theoretical and practical components of hybrid and electric vehicle systems, including

diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and the latest advancements in automotive technology.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the motor vehicle industry and have a genuine desire to inspire and equip the next generation of automotive technicians.

The successful candidate should ideally have a genuine passion for teaching and mentoring students, with a commitment to helping them succeed in their academic and professional careers.

Proactive in providing additional support, encouragement, and guidance to students,

ensuring they are not only gaining technical knowledge but also developing confidence in their abilities.

Candidates will have a Certificate in Education (or be willing to work towards within two years), a minimum of a level 3 qualification in a relevant subject and willing to be trained on new teaching systems within the college.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in the industry would also be desirable and the College Group will fully fund any qualification that needs to be completed for the role as deemed appropriate.
