The Vacancy

We have an exciting opportunity for a well organised and self-motivated person to join the Progression Coach team based at our Willerby Grove campus (with an expectation that you will be able to work across all 3 sites) on a fixed term basis until November 2025 working 36 hours per week.  

Main Duties of the Role:

As a Progression Coach, you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting a cohort of students throughout the academic year. You’ll deliver the College Tutorial Programme, closely track attendance, and monitor behaviour while providing tailored support to help students overcome academic, social, emotional, and financial challenges. You'll be at the heart of student success, delivering engaging tutorials, offering holistic support, and working with staff to support those identified as At Risk. Your proactive approach will empower students to overcome barriers, ensuring they have the right guidance to progress in their studies and future careers. You’ll also play a key role in safeguarding, responding to concerns, and keeping detailed records of all interventions and support provided. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives, helping them to succeed and thrive in their educational journey.

Essential Requirement:

  • Qualified to a minimum of Level 3.
  • Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations Qualification.
  • IAG Qualification or willing to work towards.
  • Level 6 or above Teaching Qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE/DTLLS) or willingness to work towards.
