Job Description

Would you like to join a high-skilled finance and administrative team committed to providing an excellent service to clients, professional and colleagues? Would you like to join our feminist ‘by and for’ women’s organisation, with a mission to end gender-based sexual violence?

Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland are looking to recruit a tenacious female Finance and Administrative worker, to support the staff team with the day-to-day operations of the charity. This is a relatively new role as the organisation has expanded significantly in the last few years and continues to grow.

As the Finance and Administrative worker, you will work closely with the Funding and Finance Co-ordinator, to ensure the smooth running of the office environment and finances. At least 50% of tasks will be finance-related, with administration, health and safety, ICT, taking up the reminder of your working week.

You will have excellent attention to detail, be able to move between a range of different tasks and work proactively and collaboratively with colleagues from different services and with different roles.

You will be highly organised and confident in working in a fast-paced environment and, ideally, be prepared to be physically present in the office.

We welcome applications from roles in a range of relevant sector and service specialisms. We particularly welcome women from a range of backgrounds, identities and those with protected characteristics.

Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland have a strong ethos in supporting staff and volunteer continuing professional development. The successful candidate will be offered generous training opportunities and 32 holidays a year full time pro rata, with bank holidays in addition (pro rata). Ideally, we would like the successful candidate to work in from our central base in Newcastle 3 days a week.
