Job Description

Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit a Facilities and Security Assistant. This exciting opportunity offers a reliable and committed individual the chance to join this fantastic team. Applicants should have experience of working in a similar environment and with young people.

As key holder, the role includes opening, locking and securing the premises as part of your day/evening duties. You will patrol all areas of the college campus responding, reporting and dealing with any security issues. You will assist in general maintenance requests and general external housekeeping and groundworks. You will view/access CCTV as and when requested. In the event of a security incident, keep in regular radio contact with security staff and the Estates & Facilities Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the college Estates & Facilities department.

The successful candidate will be required to possess a 3-day First Aid at Work certificate or willing to work towards within 6 months. It is desirable that the candidate will also possess an IT qualification, Level 2 Equality & Diversity, NVQ level 3 in Facilities Management and PAT training or willing to work towards within 12 months.
