About the role
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and competent individual to work as part of a busy Estates Team who are responsible for operating a number of campuses across the North East region.
Responsibilities will include the opening/securing of sites, basic repairs, completion of a planned preventative maintenance schedule, setting up of furniture as and when required, the removal of external litter/rubbish daily and the supervision of contractors/visitors.
Additional duties include dealing with graffiti/vandalism and snow/ice clearance of designated areas during the winter months.
About the Candidate
We are looking for people with the right skills and attitude necessary to ensure the availability and smooth running of each College site on a day to day basis. You will be flexible, customer focussed and prepared for travel between sites to support other members of the Estates team during busy times.
Hardworking, you should be a ‘self-starter’ in possession of good, organisational and interpersonal skills. You must be capable of multitasking, working to deadlines and priorities whilst working within an environment where manual handling, working at heights or working with contract staff is a regular occurrence. It is essential applicants have the ability to work as an individual and as part of a team. You should possess a current driving licence and suitable vehicle allowing travel between sites when required.
