The Role of Estates Caretaker
We are looking to appoint a candidate who will undertake caretaking duties for our largest estate, The Elmetes, at Roundhay Leeds. You will be based there 4 days per week, on the 5th day will you attend one of our sites in Bramley. You must be self-motivated, as you will be working by yourself for most of the week. Your duties will
include:
• Cleaning communal areas, including mopping and hand wiping down hard surface areas
• Cleaning bin stores to ensure they are accessible and safe for our customers
• Litter pick around the estate
• Undertake minor repairs
• Undertake H&S inspections (training will be provided), using your work phone
• Carry out weekly, 4 weekly, 6 monthly and 12 monthly safety checks including but not limited to testing fire alarms, smoke vents, emergency lights.
You will very much be our main presence on the estates from 54North Homes and will be our “eyes & ears” working closely with the wider Housing and Property Assets Team. You will be part of the Compliance & Facilities Team and join a team of caretakers and block inspectors.

• Estates Caretaker– permanent role
• Salary is £26,119 per annum
• Location: Your local office will be in Leeds (LS6 2TN), you will
predominantly based at our Elmetes Estate, Roundhay (LS8)
• 37 Hours per week, (8:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday).
