The Vacancy
Here at East Durham College we have an exciting new opportunity for a new member of staff to join our admin team over at our Houghall Campus. The position is offered on a term time basis of 37 hours per week, over 40 weeks.
This role would involve the following:
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
- Provide general administration support to the College Management Team and the College as a whole whilst maintaining a high level of confidentiality in all aspects of work at all times
- First line of admin support for the Curriculum Director Land based, Director of Houghall Farm and Commercial Activity, College Management Group members and Houghall Campus Staff
- Co-ordinate and maintain appointment diaries for the College Management Group and relevant senior staff using MS Outlook
- Assist with the production and distribution, via ProMonitor, of letters and organisation of meetings relating to the Student Disciplinary Process
- Organise, take, and produce notes and distribute papers for relevant meetings as and when required
- Produce to a high standard presentations, correspondence, documents, spreadsheets, and reports for all staff
- Proactively manage and where possible, resolve calls and e-mails on behalf of the Senior Staff
- Assist with the termly production of student reports
- Where appropriate assist with the production of staff and course timetables
- Maintain database/record systems
- Maintain a campus paper-based archiving and filing system
- Maintain an electronic room booking system
- Where required assist with the annual College enrolment
- Any other duties commensurate with salary and grade.
