Job Description

Outdoor Ambition Limited (OAL) is a successful and growing business which provides Alternative Education to students and young people aged 5-19yrs through educational outdoor opportunities and other pursuits.

Due to continued success and growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic Activity Co-Ordinator to join our team. You will support the Managing Director to ensure the smooth day to day running of our business to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the young people we work with, our staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will have experience working with groups as the lead/ assistant instructor. You will be passionate about outdoor pursuits as the majority of your work will be conducted in the adventurous environment. This will allow you to develop your style and confidence with the full spectrum of the clients and students we have. Activity Co-Ordinators are realistic and flexible, using their initiative to ensure successful outcomes. You will have greater responsibility for equipment and staff. At times you will be organising multiple sessions guiding both freelance and third-party staff.

As a small business it is crucial all of our staff are self-motivated, ambitious with the vision and adaptability to multitask across all areas of the business to ensure effective operations.

Your normal hours of work are 8.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. These hours can be variable, and you may be required to work additional hours outside of this and will receive a minimum of 1 weeks’ notice of any additional hours required. Due to the nature of the role and it’s changing schedule you must be flexible in your working hours and be prepared to work additional hours when required, which could involve early mornings, evening and weekend working.
