  Term time contract  Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

North East Autism Society is looking to recruit an experienced Teacher with QTS or with Qualified Teaching and Learning Status to join our dedicated School based in Sunderland. The position is to work with pre 14 pupils delivering all aspects of the programme. We are  looking for someone who is passionate about the teaching profession and has the drive and vision to deliver a high quality education that is personalised to pupils needs. We offer a bespoke curriculum with teaching taking place in small classes and through individual educational programmes tailored to the needs of each learner.

The successful candidate will :-

  • Deliver a high quality education for our pupil’s managing and delivering a bespoke programme of study and creative curriculum enabling children and young people to reach their potential.
  • Have best practice within the field of Autism and Neuro-diversity promoting a secure foundation from which to achieve excellence, equality, fun and high expectations of all pupils.
  • Manage a team of specialist teaching assistants.
  • Vocational specialism essential.
