About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker to be based within Towers House in Consett. The service provides housing related support to 18 homeless young people aged 16-25 years and offers 12 self-contained flats along with supporting 6 clients within 2 dispersed properties in the Derwentside area. The role involves undertaking basic/routine support planning and supporting with our clients individual goals and aspirations including supported accommodation and support for other housing related needs including general support needs, help with budgeting and debt advice, benefits and welfare rights, form filling, managing and developing independent living skills, help with training, employment and education and move on options.

The service operates a shift pattern on a 4 weekly rolling rota basis including evenings and weekends.

Who we're looking for

Experience of working with young or vulnerable people and support agencies is preferable however we will give the necessary training to develop your skills both with client support, housing services and housing management. If you have a genuine passion for working with vulnerable people to make positive and lasting change we would love to hear from you.
