About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker – Level 2 to join our team in Southampton.Natalie House offers a 24 hour registered service for clients aged between 18-55 with enduring mental health diagnosis. Our key aims are to support clients to gain independent living skills with a level of support that is person centred to individual needs.

Who we’re looking for

With the ability to manage your own workload effectively, you will be confident working alone in the community, contributing to weekly team meetings and seeking learning opportunities to enhance your expertise within this role. You will have good communication and organisational skills with experience of using computerised systems, such as Microsoft applications and be able to work successfully with colleagues from other agencies, building on and maintaining existing working relationships in order to support your clients.

You will possess qualities including compassion, patience, creativity and a sense of humour. You will have a strong customer service focus and an understanding of professional boundaries, risk assessment and confidentiality procedures.

You should demonstrate relevant experience of working within a support or care environment and/or dealing with vulnerable people, have sound knowledge of the potential issues facing clients and resources available in the community.

This is a part time position working within our team on a 4 week rota basis. This role requires workingevery weekend with 15 hours worked every weekend apart from week 4 which is will be 21 hours. The shift patterns are detailed below.

Week 1 - Sleep over starting at 4pm & 8am -2pm

week 2 - 8am-4pm and 2pm-10pm Shift

Week 3 - 2pm-10pm and 2pm-10pm

week 4 - Sleep over 4pm & 8am-2pm + 2pm-10am

Any offer of employment will be subject to a DBS disclosure, costs of which will be met by Home Group Ltd.
