Job Description

Cleveland Police is looking for a dedicated and motivated professional to join the Force’s Internal Communications Team. The successful candidate will help deliver innovative and exciting internal communications products and support the Force’s wider engagement goals. The role is full time (37 hours per week with flexible working) and will initially be based at Force HQ, Ladgate Lane, Middlesbrough.

Principal Duties and responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for the development and effective delivery of internal communications and engagement mechanisms for Cleveland Police, writing and editing copy for various publications.

You will lead on internal campaigns making the best use of new and emerging technology.

You will have excellent verbal, written and customer service skills, able to deal effectively with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external. You will also be confident in dealing with sensitive issues and challenging environments.

You will have the ability to plan, prioritise and make effective decisions in order to meet deadlines and deliver a quality service.

You will be educated to degree level or have relevant professional experience and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

There is a requirement to travel to different locations across the Force area.
