This applies to all those who are employed for one month or more. It should be provided within two months of the start of employment. The written statement should cover:

• the parties to contract
• place of work
• start date
• duration
• pay
• collective agreements
• hours of work
• job title
• holidays
• sickness
• pension
• notice
• disciplinary rules
• grievance procedure
• working outside the UK for more than one month
