SEN TEACHING ASSISTANTS

Schools are asking for more Teaching Assistants to help children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The additional needs can vary. Some children have learning difficulties and need extra help to understand complicated ideas. Others find it difficult to express themselves clearly in lessons. For some children extra emotional support is more important.

In addition to having excellent literacy and numeracy skills, SEN Teaching Assistants help children to feel more confident about their ability. They are skilled at really connecting with young children and making things easier to understand.

Above all, they encourage, inspire and help to make school fun and somewhere children want to be. That is why they are in big demand. That is why we need some more of them!

Do you:

• Have a Level 2/3 TA qualification and/or previous practical classroom experience within the last 18 months?
• Understand the current national curriculum and how it is delivered?
• Have previous experience working with SEN pupils?
• Enjoy helping young learners in their educational development?
