Job Description

Connected Voice is looking for a new member of our Support and Development team. This is a rewarding role and will involve making a positive difference to voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations. This will be by providing free advice and support to organisations based or operating in Gateshead and Newcastle.

Connected Voice offers a range of benefits that include:

  • Flexible and Blended Working
  • 29 Days Holiday Per Annum – plus Bank Holidays and plus 3 days between
  • Christmas and New Year (pro rata for part time hours)
  • Scottish Widows Pension Scheme – up to 5% employer and employee contribution
  • BUPA Cash Health Plan – paid for by employer
  • 2 Days Paid Volunteering Time (pro rata for part time hours)
  • Credit Union Savings Scheme – save directly from salary
  • Corporate Metro Pass Scheme
  • Bike to Work Scheme

You will support our local voluntary and community organisations on all aspects of development, including advice and guidance on funding, good governance, and getting the right organisation structure. You will help to deliver our premium (charged for) services, including setting up charities, conducting organisation reviews, and writing policies and procedures. You will also develop, coordinate and deliver training, support partnerships, and assist with networking events based on themes that are important to our members.

You will have a good understanding of the VCSE sector, particularly small to medium-sized organisations. We will provide training to you for many of the delivery work areas – your attitude, enthusiasm and work ethics are as important to us as experience. This is a great opportunity to help our local VCSE sector become more resilient and to adapt to the changing needs of society because of the cost of living crisis, as well as professionally develop your skills, knowledge and experience.
