Volunteer Stock Sorter – Teesside Hospice

Accountability: Deputy Head of Retail and Head of Retail
Location: Various across Teesside – Acklam, Coulby Newham, Great Ayton,
Guisborough, Ingleby Barwick, Linthorpe, Marske, Norton, Redcar, Saltburn, Skelton,
Stokesley, Thornaby, and Yarm
Time Commitment: Shops generally open 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday.
Minimum of 2 hours per week preferred, discussed with Shop Manager.
DBS Check needed? No
Age Requirements: From 14 years old plus

Tasks

Preparing donated items for sale
Using a clothes steamer to ensure clothes look their best
Attaching labels and tags to donated items for easy browsing by customers
Pricing of donations
Identifying unsaleable donations for recycling
Keeping the stock room organised and tidy
