Applicants must have the right to work in the UK — sponsorship is not provided.ABOUT THE PROGRAMMEAlongside employment, you will undertake an academic programme with Northumbria University, trained to deliver low-intensity evidence-based CBT interventions leading to a recognised qualification. During training you will provide a range of interventions in schools and across local communities, developing a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing.We are the leading provider of Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in Stockton-on-Tees and Hartlepool, working in partnership with Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust CAMHS, Changing Futures North East, The Link, Mind, and The Junction. We also deliver The Tees Valley Getting Help Service, providing support to children and young people aged 5 to 18 (or up to 25 with an EHCP).WHAT YOU WILL DO- Work under supervision to deliver outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions to children and young people in educational settings experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties- Support children, young people, families and educators to self-manage presenting difficulties- Work in partnership with children, young people and families to contribute to intervention and care plans- Undertake risk and safety assessments under supervision- Deliver guided self-help approaches within a low intensity CBT modality- Attend multi-disciplinary and multi-agency meetings related to care of children and young people- Maintain accurate clinical records and complete required data collection- Contribute to a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing (MHST 3 core functions)- Attend Northumbria University for training plus private study of at least one day per week- Prepare and present caseload information to supervisors on a scheduled basisESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS- Relevant degree qualification at minimum Level 6- Ability to study at postgraduate level with a proven record of academic attainment- Previous knowledge and experience of working with children and young people- Knowledge of the educational system in England- Full clean driving licence and access to own transport- Enhanced DBS disclosure- Trainee membership (or willingness to hold membership) with BPS or BABCP- Excellent oral and written communication skills and IT literacyWHAT WE OFFER- First rate training and development with Northumbria University- 38 days annual leave pro rata (rising 1 day every 5 years)- Option to purchase additional annual leave- EAP health scheme including eye tests, dental, physio and shopping discounts- 3% contributory pension scheme- Health and wellbeing initiatives and flexible workingFor an informal chat contact Amanda Lambe: CYPFamilies@alliancepsychology.com
