Everything we do is shaped by the iThrive framework, ensuring support is accessible, needs-led, and designed around the child or young person.Alliance offers 38 days annual leave pro rata (rising 1 day every 5 years), EAP health scheme, 3% contributory pension, flexible working, and Investors in People accreditation.THE ROLEThis post develops the role of Educational Mental Health Practitioners and Children's Wellbeing Practitioners, providing an opportunity for clinicians with formal training and experience in low or high intensity CBT interventions to develop their careers and support Alliance's Mental Health Support Teams in schools.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESClinical Practice:- Develop the MHST Getting Help pathway for Low Intensity clinical interventions delivered by EMHPs and CWPs- Embed CYP-IAPT Principals within the MHST as a senior LICBT Practitioner and School Cluster Lead- Accept referrals via agreed pathways in partnership with Tees Valley Getting Help Service- Support LI practitioners using role modelling to assess and support young people with common mental health problems- Provide guided self-help and a range of low intensity psychological treatments (face to face, telephone or other media)- Work collaboratively with parents and carers- Keep coherent records of all clinical activity and complete all data collection requirementsSupervision and Training:- Offer clinical caseload management and skills supervision to qualified and trainee EMHPs and CWPs- Identify training needs across the team and assist in CPD development- Offer training sessions to internal staff and external stakeholders including education staff- Undertake searches of evidence-based literature to support evidence-based CBT practicePartnership Working:- Support the designated senior mental health lead in each educational setting, managing a cluster of schools- Create and maintain effective working relationships with Headteachers, SENCOs, Pastoral Teams and wider teaching staff- Liaise effectively with statutory, voluntary sector organisations and other local children's mental health providers including specialist CAMHS- Contribute to the universal offer through psychoeducation, assemblies, transition preparation and community developmentSafeguarding:- Responsible for safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of young people at all times- Support staff within CYPF via safeguarding duty processes to support effective management of clinical riskESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS- Postgraduate certificate in evidence-based psychological treatments (CWP/EMHP/HiCBT IAPT pathways)- Senior EMHP/CWP with advanced post-qualification experience- CYP/IAPT Supervision Qualification- Accreditation with BABCP or BPS- Experience working with children and families in educational or healthcare settings- Experience of case managing and supervising others- Experience delivering CBT and working with anxiety, conduct and mood disorders- Knowledge of CYP IAPT, Mental Health Support Teams, iThrive Framework and safeguarding- Full UK driving licence- Enhanced DBS disclosureFor questions about the role contact Kaye Hooker or Amanda Lambe: CYPFamilies@alliancepsychology.com
