This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by supporting vulnerable young people and helping them achieve meaningful educational and personal outcomes.We are a secondary school teaching students aged 11 to 18, all of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans. Our pupils have social, emotional and mental health needs, and many have experienced significant challenges in their lives. At Mortimer House, relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Through use of small class sizes (maximum 4 students) we build real connections with the young people we support. We use positive behaviour support and emotion coaching to help young people feel safe, understood and ready to learn. Our approach is trauma-informed and restorative, ensuring that pupils are supported with consistency, empathy and high expectations.Preparing young people for adulthood is central to our work.
