About the Role
As Recovery Coordinator you will work as part of a team to provide collaborative recovery planning and case management to substance misusers (drug and alcohol) across all stages of individuals’ recovery journeys, from assessment and engagement through to sustained recovery.
To provide accurate information about the substance that people use so that they are aware of the mental and physical effects on their body. To inform people of the legal aspects of possessing and using drugs and alcohol. Helping people to identify the monetary cost of their substance use. Supporting people to recognise triggers to their use. Supporting people to develop coping strategies to combat their drug use. To explain to people the cycle of addiction so that they can understand what they are going through. To look at relapse prevention techniques. Deliver effective health liaison, harm reduction, needle exchange and prevention pathways and interventions within the wider service delivery model. Work collaboratively with service trainers to deliver education and awareness raising activities for stakeholders and communities. Provide holistic and structured recovery Coordination and psychosocial interventions to service users, their families and carers.
