We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the role of Project Support Officer in the Byker Team, who provide the highest possible standard of service, support and advice to our customers in the Byker Estate.

About the role

As Project Support Officer, you will play an essential role in the delivery of our ‘Community Pledge’ Investment commitments to customers in the Byker Estate.

You will lead on customer engagement in the development, design and delivery stages of improving homes, buildings and the environment of our Grade II* listed estate, ensuring the views of our customers shape and influence the improvements to their neighbourhood. You will develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, contracting partners, strategic and voluntary/community partners and play an integral part in the delivery of Byker’s investment programme.

About you

You will have a positive and enthusiastic attitude and demonstrate a strong record in the delivery of customer focused investment and improvement schemes. You will be approachable, professional and confident working in collaboration with external partners and stakeholders. You will understand the challenges facing investment in listed buildings and have the ability, attitude and interpersonal skills to build strong and effective relationships with customers and colleagues to support the delivery of excellent services and improvements to our communities here in Byker.

  • Location: Byker Housing Office, 17 Raby Cross
  • 37 Hours per week with some homeworking available/flexible working
