This is a fantastic opportunity to join our established and respected, specialist sexual violence team.

ARCH Teesside are a specialist sexual violence service with over 25 years’ experience of delivering quality support to victim/survivors of sexual violence/abuse. Based in Middlesbrough, we provide advocacy services to adults and children and young people across Teesside. We are looking for a passionate individual who works well as part of a team to join our independent, advocacy service. The successful candidate will have a passion for ensuring that our clients voices are within the criminal justice system and beyond and will be a strong advocate that ensures they understand and can access their rights.

Children and Young Peoples Independent Sexual Violence Advisor

Salary: £26,826.80 - £28,175.24 following successful training.

Hours: 35 hours per week

Holidays: Starting at 25 days per annum plus public bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time)

Working across Teesside,we have a vacant post within our Childrens and Young Peoples service for a Children and Young Peoples ISVA. You will deliver a pro-active service by providing independent, expert, quality support to predominately, children and young people but also, if required, to men and women who have been affected by rape or sexual abuse within and outside of the criminal justice system. This will involve a combination of emotional and practical support, outreach visits, pre-trial visits, as well as court support.

The successful candidate will have the skills and confidence to work closely with Police, Crown Prosecution Service and other relevant agencies, the ideal candidate will have experience of providing one to one support, managing a busy caseload and will possess an excellent understanding of the impact of sexual violence.
