Bassetlaw District Council own and manage around 6,300 homes in North Nottinghamshire. Having brought our housing management and repairs functions in house two years ago, we are an ambitious and progressive Council determined to be ranked among the best social housing providers in the Country.
Our Caretaking Team plays a key role in helping us to keep our estates and buildings maintained to a high level, and meet the expectations of our customers.
In order to ensure that the Team continues to meet the changing challenges, we are in the process of reviewing how we will best deliver this part of the service in the future. Whilst that review is completed, we are looking to appoint two enthusiastic individuals who are able to work as a member of a mobile team providing Caretaking services across the Council’s housing estates, driving a fully equipped van, and providing a flexible, responsive, high quality service.
The role will include: cleaning and maintaining our estates to a high standard; clearing litter and general rubbish; regular checks of communal spaces, including blocks of flats, access roads, estate footpaths, and community centres; monitoring of void properties; removal of graffiti; reporting any issues.
You should have experience of working in a similar environment and demonstrate good communication and customer service skills. You will also need to have a current full driving licence.
