Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting people in their recovery? Do you have transferable skills and/or experience to empower people to achieve their full potential?

Barnsley Recovery Steps provide a wide range of interventions to individuals who require support around drug or alcohol use.   We are now recruiting for a Lead Practitioner within our Recovery Navigation Team, who is passionate and committed to supporting staff to deliver high quality case management and care co-ordination.  As a Lead Practitioner, you will also be involved in the ongoing development of the service to ensure effective treatment is offered and available to those in recovery.  You will manage and lead a team of Recovery Navigators who support those in structured treatment, and work with the wider management team to contribute to the service targets and outcomes. You will work flexibly within a multi-disciplinary team and with a range of local health, social and criminal justice agencies to ensure service users receive safe and effective treatment.

On occasions you may be required to have a small caseload and deliver meaningful interventions to service users throughout their treatment.

Applicants will have previous supervisory responsibilities, and be expected to demonstrate some knowledge and understanding around supporting those who use drugs and/or alcohol. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development is essential.

Starting salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience.
