We make it easier for people with disabilities to live, learn and be part of a world adapting to difference. We do this through:
- Specialist pre-school, primary, secondary and post 16 education services
- A further education college and a wide variety of day services for adults
- Residential services for all ages, transition and employability support and a range of training courses and workshops for parents and the professionals, who come to learn with us

Registered with the Care Quality Commission, our Adult Residential Services are based in Forest Hall, Jesmond and Killingworth.
The role of a Support worker is to enable our service users to live a fulfilling life, promote choice, empowerment, dignity and respect in a positive, caring environment. Following all positive behaviour support plans and ensuring a high standard of care is provided in a safe, positive and stimulating home environment. We encourage residents to develop and maintain their skills to live independent and fulfilled lives and promote dignity and respect ensuring choice and control are provided. It is essential that our staff will promote and support this approach.
Ideally with at least 12 months experience of working in a challenging environment with people with complex needs and an NVQ Level II in Care or a willingness to work towards this, we are looking for someone who is a team worker with a flexible and positive attitude.

Our Adult Residential Services
Leybourne was fully refurbished recently and now provides accommodation for 8 adults with with a range of physical and learning disabilities. The house has 8 en-suite bedrooms, an open plan living area and large garden, which provides residents with plenty of opportunities to socialise or have quiet time when they want. Read more.
Wansbeck House residential services is located in Jesmond, a high quality specialist service for your adults with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities who are aged 18-25 and accessing educational or activity provision within Percy Hedley Foundation. All residents have specialist individual programmes and personalised care plans to support their communication, independence and employability skills helping them make the successful transition into adulthood. Chipchase House and Ferndene are residential accommodation registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide accommodation and personal care for up to 51 people with physical or learning disabilities. Read more
Moor View and Tyne House are situated in Jesmond, a pleasant residential area in Newcastle upon Tyne. They are within easy reach of the city centre and local community facilities. Moor View was established in 2009 and Tyne House in 2010 and both provide a safe, secure, positive and structured environment which supports individuals’ specific and complex needs which exist as a result of their cerebral palsy, learning disability and associated disorders.
