Alliance Psychological Services is an independent provider of counselling and psychological therapy services based in the Tees Valley area and working across the North-East region. We are an Approved Provider of Psychological Therapies to NHS Tees, are commissioned by local schools, academies and local authorities to provide a range of psychological therapies to children, young people and families and provide workplace wellbeing services to local organisation in support of their employees.

We are currently looking to add to our Children, Young People and Families Team providing services to local Schools, Social Care Teams and Early Help Teams for children and families either in the social care arena or at risk of entering.

Alliance are pleased to be able to offer positions within their Children, Young People and Families Service Area for Educational Psychologists on an affiliate basis. You will be expected to help children and young people with a range of emotional and social problems or learning difficulties who are experiencing problems that hinder successful learning and participation in school and other activities.

As an Alliance Affiliate, you will be expected to support children and young people of school age, in partnership with parents, teachers, social workers, doctors and other people involved in their education. You will be working as part of a wider Psychological Therapies Team which will enhance the offer to schools developing and supporting behaviour and therapeutic management programmes. You will work in a variety of ways including observations, interviews and assessments of the child. You may also be required to provide in-service training for teaching staff.

You will be a registered Educational Psychologists with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) with an undergraduate degree in psychology or a BPS accredited Doctorate in educational psychology.
