Our Care and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling us to provide high quality, person-centred support to the people we care for, through developing close working relationships with individuals, their families and other staff across the organisation, especially our Specialist Workers and Team Leaders.

Our Independent Supported Living model of care is unique for people with dementia. Four or five people live together within a 'family' atmosphere, supported by our trained and dedicated staff in a safe and homely environment.

We operate 12 hour shift patterns 8.00am to 8.00pm (day shift) and 8.00am to 8.00pm (night shift). If you enjoy providing care for people and, with an ability to build positive relationships with local care services and family members, and if you have a keen eye for maintaining high levels of hygiene and cleanliness, please contact us.

We require people who have a genuine interest in the caring profession and are willing to work to improve the lives of people with dementia and other degenerative neurological conditions. In return, we offer:

  • Some of the best hourly rates of pay for care work in the North East.
  • Guaranteed hours contracts, typically 40 hours, 30 hours or 20 hours on a 2 week rotation basis (e.g. on a 40 hour contract, week 1 would involve approx. 35 hours and week 2 would involve approx. 45 hours. All employees are required to work every other weekend.
  • Fully funded training including NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care and specialist dementia qualifications in association with the University of Stirling.
