About you

Do you holdNVQ level 3 in Social Care or equivalent appropriate qualification?

Do you have experience of working with women involved in the Criminal Justice System? Do you have experience of developing and maintaining partnerships and professional relationships with agencies in voluntary, private and public sectors? Do you have experience of working with partners from the Criminal Justice System? Do you have experience of working with service users with multiple and complex needs?

Do you have knowledge and understanding of the structural inequalities facing women within the Criminal Justice System? Do you have knowledge and understanding of the diverse range of needs which may be present in the lives of women who offend? Do you have the ability to provide advice and guidance?

Do you have commitment to the values of Changing Lives? Do you have the ability to be a highly self-motivated individual and direct own work? Do you have Commitment to enhance the lives of women with multiple and complex needs?

About the job

Commissioned by DTV CRC to deliver an Enhanced Through the Gate service. This is a particularly exciting opportunity if you are passionate about working with women involved in the Criminal Justice System. Based within the Offender Management Unit of the prison, ResettlementWorkers are responsible for undertaking needs assessments, resettlement planning and delivering interventions with women in custody within set timescales. All support will be delivered using approaches which are trauma-informed, non-judgemental, strength based and understanding the distinct needs of women. The role will also involve representing Changing Lives at multi-disciplinary meetings, both in custody and the community.

Using a range of different databases, collation of outcomes and meeting deadlines are also significant to this role therefore competent IT skills and excellent time management skills are required.
