This is an exciting time to join the Housing First team, a new service for Crisis Skylight Newcastle, which offers open-ended, flexible and intensive support to people who face multiple disadvantages.

About the role

We are looking for 2 Housing First Team Leaders to join us on a temporary basis for 36 months. 

As Housing First Team Leader, you will take a person-lead, holistic and trauma-informed approach to the support of members. You will provide effective line management to Housing First coaches in line with Housing First principles.

We are currently recruiting 2 Team Leaders. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Skylight Newcastle Team, leading the Housing First service. This service, funded by Crisis for 3 years will develop, evidence and share best practice. Delivering person-centred, flexible, open-ended packages of support, advice and assistance to people who are/have been living on the streets or in multiple supported housing placements, so that they can access and maintain a safe and secure home of their own.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be committed to the Housing First approach and principles, and to Crisis’ purpose and values including equality and social inclusion.

You will have experience of line managing and motivating a team - supporting those with multiple and complex needs - and taking a creative approach to managing change.

You may have a background in managing teams within adult safeguarding, drug or alcohol recovery services, mental health or housing support and have significant experience of working within a multidiscipline setting with the ability to create strong professional relationships and creative solutions. You will have experience of working with people who have faced severe and multiple exclusion and who may have complex needs; with an understanding of the needs of people who have been homeless for long periods of time.

There will be a two stage interview process for these posts.
