Job Description

At the Community Foundation, we share a love for North East England and believe in the importance of giving and philanthropy, backing local charities and championing disadvantaged people.

Every year, we award grants to hundreds of local charities and community organisations through funds set up by donors and partners. As our Grant Programme Advisor, you’ll support effective grant-making from our discretionary funds and from programmes run with other funders, ensuring we and our partners make a difference in the region. You’ll assess funding requests and monitor the success of grants awarded. And you’ll support research, analysis and development of our grant-making practice. You’ll have the skills to build relationships with a range of stakeholders. You don’t need to have previously worked in grant-making. But you do need to be analytical, a clear communicator, and confident working with data and systems. You’ll also need to be aware of relevant social issues and community needs. We don’t require you to have a degree, but you’ll need to show commitment to your learning and development.

Alongside an attractive salary and benefits package, we offer a great office environment, travel-to-work schemes and flexible/hybrid working opportunities.
