North Tyneside Carers’ Centre is looking to recruit someone who has the skills and enthusiasm to work on an exciting programme, funded by the North of Tyne Combined Authoirty.

The postholder will provide one to one specialist support to working age carers to help them on their journey to return to work, training or education, or those in work who are struggling to juggle their caring responsibilities. This includes helping carers recognise their skills and experience; building confidence and self-esteem; helping overcome any barriers and supporting their transition into work, training or education.

The postholder will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an employability background, or, experience of providing one to one support information, advice and guidance to carers. They will have the ability to develop effective external relationships, have a strong commitment to inclusive team-working and be flexible and innovative in their approach. Excellent organisational and IT skills, as well as good interpersonal skills are essential.

The post will be required to travel throughout the North of Tyne area therefore it is essential that you are a car user.
