We believe in recovery at MHM and we are committed to providing services that support clients to travel their own recovery journey, and be at the heart of it.

As a Recovery worker you will be required to provide a high quality recovery focused service to our clients who have a range of mental health needs as well as others including substance misuse and physical; promoting independence and social inclusion. You will also be responsible for administrative tasks and facilitating activities within the service and the community. The post may require some evening and / or weekend work so flexibility is an essential requirement.

As a Recovery Worker, you will have a minimum of 2 years mental health experience and will be able to inspire and engage have the ability to identify barriers and understand our client needs, while possessing excellent motivational skills. This will include Team Supervision one to one engagement of our customers and facilitating group based activities, sign posting and engaging people in mainstream provision.

Experience or an understanding of working with people with a variety of complex needs including mental health, learning, physical and substance misuse would be an advantage for this post. You will be qualified at least to NVQ Level 3 standard or equivalent and will have the demonstrated skills and ability to help others identify and overcome barriers.

Experience or knowledge of working within a community based service is essential. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude. Due to the nature of the post, a full driving licence and access to transport will be essential
