Job Description

Specialist domestic abuse charity Harbour is looking to strengthen its core team with the addition of a new HR Officer post. We are currentlyexperiencing growth and development and want to bring in an experienced HR professional to guide and co-ordinate our people activities. We are seeking an HR generalist, with a broad knowledge base across the range of HR topics, preferably with an understanding of the voluntary or public sector.We are a value driven organisation, respect and accountability are important to us and we ensure that the needs of our service beneficiaries are at the heart of everything we do. 2024 marks our fiftieth anniversary and one which will see a further exciting period in our growth, further expanding our staff teams. Our new HR Officer will help us to co-ordinate HR activities and support for our 250+ staff team who work across multiple premises from Northumberland down to Redcar & Cleveland. The role can be worked flexibly, with options available for the location of a main work base and the option for some home working.The successful candidate will be well organised, flexible, with an aptitude for communication and an ability to work with initiative.We are looking for someone with sound HR foundation knowledge holding the CIPD level 5 qualification. Successful applicants must undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
