Description

Hello.

We are Karbon Homes. We are dedicated to building the perfect foundation for people to thrive. We believe a strong foundation creates the possibility to develop the life you want.

We operate with a business head and a social heart, working with our partners to make a difference to people’s lives by providing homes and creating thriving communities across the North of England.

Come and join our new team

We now have a role to fill. It is an existing post, in a new organisation, with a great culture, excellent benefits, family friendly policies and an ambitious plan for the future.

We are looking for a Housing Assistant (Job Share)

We are looking for a part time Housing Assistant to join our team delivering a high quality, cost effective, customer focused service in line with customer needs, housing policy and legislation.

You will be working within the General Needs Housing Team to provide a high quality, customer focused service to approximately 2000 tenancies within Newcastle and North Tyneside. You will be working within the housing team providing an efficient administrative service which will include the maintenance of records on behalf of the team, mail merges, and minute taking. You will be required to deal with general customer enquiries, prepare sign up packs, carry out accompanied viewings, take up references and assist with the maintenance of all team databases. You will also assist colleagues with home visits, scheme inspections and take part in community events when asked to do so.

You should have excellent communication skills and the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload often working to targets and deadlines. You will be part of a team but the role does require the ability to work on your own initiative and carry out lone working in the community and in tenant’s homes. You will be computer literate. Previous experience within a social housing environmental would be an advantage.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.

This is a fixed term contract until December 2018
