Job Description

Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust is one of four Trusts in the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle.  The Trust includes five Secondary and twenty five Primary Schools across South Tyneside, Sunderland and East Durham and are looking to appoint a Governance Manager to join the Trust Central Team

As Governance Manager you will be the Trust strategic lead for all aspects of governance, supporting the Board of Trustees and Executive team in ensuring the highest standards of governance across the Trust in a cohesive way.

This is a key role working closely with the Board, Chair of the Local Governing Committees and representatives of the Central Team.

The successful candidate will be based at the Trust Head Office, Evolve Business Centre, Cygnet Way, Rainton Bridge South Business Park, DH4 5QY.  Hybrid working is in place.

The successful candidate must be able to meet the travel requirements of the post which may include visits to several schools to attend governor meetings, many of which will take place on an early evening.
