Job Description

Hartlepool Aspire Trust is a Multi Academy Trust operating over 5 sites, including a retail and catering outlet.

The Trust operates a special academy for students aged 11 to 19 and a further education provision for learners from the age of 19.

We are looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join our finance team. This position is ideal for those wanting a part time position that involves working term time only (plus 1 week in the summer holidays).

The successful candidate must be able to efficiently and accurately input information into financial online

systems and collate and reconcile financial data.

Possible flexibility in working pattern can be discussed at interview.

MAIN DUTIES

•Process documents to the computerised finance system and maintain filing systems, ensuring

accuracy and timeliness

•Maintaining purchase ledger and supplier payments

•Preparation, collation, maintenance and reconciliation of financial information in line with financial

policies and procedures

•Deal with staff and external queries

•Assist in completing returns, reports, submissions etc as required

•Provide support and cover as necessary for both the finance and admin teams

OTHER DUTIES

•Participate in regular staff meetings and training as and when required

•Safeguard and promote the welfare of children/vulnerable adults for whom you have responsibility

or come into contact with, to include adhering to all specified procedures

•Carry out duties with full regard to the Trust’s Child/Vulnerable Adult Protection, H&S, Equality &

Diversity and other relevant polices in the terms of employment and service delivery to ensure that

colleagues are treated and services delivered in a fair and safe manner

•Comply with health and safety policy and systems, report any incidents/accidents/hazards and take

pro-active approach to health and safety matters in order to protect both yourself and others

•Any other duties of a similar nature related to the post, which may be required

•Comply with all Trust policies, including the no smoking policy
