Based in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, this is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join our vibrant and progressive Building Control team. You will be positive, enthusiastic and forward-thinking, with relevant experience having worked in Building Control or a similar construction-related environment.

In this vital role, you will carry out a range of duties, taking account of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. You will enjoy the challenge of working within a busy team, with opportunities to work on a diverse caseload, managing domestic, industrial and commercial projects in rural and urban areas. 

Your responsibilities will include plan checking, site inspections, enforcement, dealing with dangerous structures (including out-of-hours), demolition and general enquiries, in accordance with the Building Act and Building Regulations. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are vital. You should have strong analytical and judgement skills, comprehensive knowledge of construction matters, the Building Act, Building Regulations and related requirements, in order to interpret plans, information and data, as well as being a great problem solver.
