ASSERTIVE SUPPORT WORKER

At Harbour we believe everyone has the right to live without abuse and we are looking for a compassionate, resilient woman with excellent people skills to join our team in Hartlepool / Tees Valley.

We operate a refuge in Hartlepool to complement our existing services which caters for women with complex needs in addition to their experiences of domestic abuse. We are looking for an experienced support worker able to work flexible shifts on a rota basis in this refuge to provide enriching activities for clients. Shifts will run from 9am to 9pm

Our vision is to provide meaningful activities for individuals and groups of women to engage in, some practical such as cooking, some therapeutic, such as journaling. The sessions will be designed to improve confidence and self-esteem, enhance wellbeing, build resilience and social skills. 

The successful candidate will be flexible, calm, and engaging. We are looking for an enthusiastic, empatheticindividual, with an aptitude for communication and an ability to work with initiative. We are especially interested to hear from those with experience of working with clients affected by substance misuse or mental ill health.
