Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who wishes to take their first steps into a career within the field of Communications and Public Relations.

Based inthe Communications and Policy departmentat Queen’s Buildings in Worksop, you will assist with the delivery of the Council’s internal and external communications.

As part of these duties you will have the opportunity to work with the local media to promote the Council’s services and achievements, create engaging content for social media, administer the Council’s website and assist with our face-to-face engagement events whilst studying a Public Relations & Communications Assistant Apprenticeship.

You must:

·        Have a minimum of 3 GCSE’s at Levels 4-9/Grade C or above, including English and Maths (or relevant equivalent qualifications)

·        Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

·        Be a creative and motivated self-starter who can work individually and as part of a team

·        Have experience of using a variety of Social Media Platforms

·        Have an understanding of and an enthusiasm for working in a communications and public relations environment
