Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation (MFCF) is the club’s independent charity set up in 1996 by Chairman Steve Gibson.  We use the power of the MFC brand to engage with the community to provide opportunities for young people and adults to maximise their potential to achieve.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be involved in Premier League and English Football League Trust community funded projects. Working with a professional football club charity and local schools, the successful candidate will engage and inspire young people through delivery of curriculum Physical Activity, Health Education, PSHE and Literacy.

We are looking for an energetic individual to work in schools, to help young people reach their potential and strive for progression. The successful candidate will be an active and engaging deliverer and be able to promote a fun learning environment for the young people they are working with. While sport and physical activity will be central to the role, mentoring and advocacy skills will be essential; in short the post holder will be a role model. The successful candidate should hold a minimum of a level two qualification in sport and have experience of delivering physical activity and health education to young people.

MFC Foundation’s projects centre on the power of the Middlesbrough Football Club brand, hand in hand with high quality, delivery that enables all children to access and enjoy physical activity.

This post falls within the scope of ‘regulated activity’ and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974).  Successful applicants will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (formerly CRB) check and are required to declare any convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings that are not ‘protected’ as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exemptions) Act 1975.
