Commencing September 2018

Livin is a vibrant housing provider, delivering vital services to local people.  Formed in 2009 and in our tenth year, we are currently seeking Non-Executive Directors who want to join us and our ambitious programme of change.

Over the last 24 months we have undergone significant transformation.  In April 2017 we launched our Business Strategy, Plan A which sets out our objectives and delivery plans for improving the lives of people living in our communities. 

Plan A sets clear priorities including: providing an excellent customer experience tailored to individual needs and circumstances; investing in new housing; diversifying the tenure offer; and providing much needed housing support services to older and vulnerable people. 

We are seeking talented, community-focussed professionals with a passion for social housing and/or community development. To complement our current Board skills mix we are keen to recruit new Board members with regeneration and/or health/social care knowledge and experience.  Commercial knowledge and an awareness of the Housing and/or Construction industries is desirable.  

Our whole Board usually meets 11 times per year for approximately three hours. In addition to this successful applicants will serve on a minimum of two specialist Committees, each meeting a minimum of three times a year. With meeting preparation, an annual two-day Leadership Conference and other business, the required commitment will typically be an average of three days per month or 18 days per year.

Board members are vital to the delivery of Plan A: shaping the future direction of the business and monitoring performance with a commitment to customer service excellence, raising standards and ensuring continuous improvement.  This is an opportunity in challenging times to contribute to making a real difference in a vibrant and vital progressive organisation.
