The Person

The Centre for Process Innovation currently has an opportunity for Grant & Project Finance Officer to cover maternity leave and join its existing Grant Claims Team. Candidates will use their knowledge and experience of UK and EU funding to administer a portfolio of grants. Applicants must have excellent planning and time management skills to ensure that month-end processes are complete to agreed timescales and to a high degree of accuracy. The ideal applicant will have a financial background and have strong IT skills when using Microsoft Office Systems. The successful candidate will work well as part of a team and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate to develop themselves and gain valuable experience from working within a busy team.

The Role

As a Grant & Project Finance Officer, you will be responsible for administering the financial requirements from production to submission of grant claims; ensuring compliance with Funder rules, regulations and deadlines. This is in addition to cost analysis and reporting, audit preparation and other ad-hoc tasks to support the day-to-day running of the team.

The finance office is a busy environment and due to the nature of the business, there are often one-off tasks that will require the jobholder to use initiative and problem solving skills in order to meet objectives.
